Simple Learning Curve

The commercial shrimper already knows how to attach nets and make the nets fish. The Wing Trawling System is no different. The cork line and lead lines can be adjusted along with the bib line to change the net fishing characteristics. The same ropes are used to retrieve the nets and perform typical shrimping tasks required to shrimp.

One rope NOT used between the port and starboard nets is the sugar line. The Sugar line attaches the port and starboard net lazy lines or cod end lines. The sugar line is moved to the inside end of the Wing Trawling System and is retrieved by throw hook.

Eliminating the rope between the port and starboard nets makes life much easier when a problem arises.

Eliminating the rope between the port and starboard nets makes life much easier when a problem arises. If a hang or bog is encountered the nets can be retrieved independently of one another. There is no rope between the two nets to bring the equipment under the boat into the propeller. Hanging the Wing Trawling System on a wreck is much easier and less trouble than with typical trawl doors.
